Asked Questions
Should
I refrigerate the flour I'm not using?
You
can; the important thing is store it in a cool, dry place.
How
long will it keep?
It
should keep indefinitely if refrigerated; however, once the hull
or shell has been compromised, the flour's freshness will diminish
rapidly, which is why each order is freshly milled immediately
prior to shipping.
Do
you sell in larger quantities than 4 cup packages?
I
sell in 4-cup packages, but if you order 5 or more packages, you
get a 10% discount.
Can
I order them along with my IB3 orders?
Yes,
they are coming from the same place :).
How
are you packaging them?
All
Fid Flours are packaged in reusable plastic containers. Since an incident where one of our heat sealed bags popped (who would have thought the post office workers wouldn't like white powder coming out of the boxes?), we are now packaging in plastic containers so that we can be sure your flour gets there safely.
Are
all of your flours organic?
I
use all organic grains and other ingredients, with the exception
of one type of wheat that is a minimal ingredient of the 8-Grain
Fid Flour. I am, however, working on locating a source for that
grain, and will post as soon as I do.
How
will it be shipped?
We
usually use USPS, but if you would like it to be shipped differently,
then just tell us :) The customer is always first priority.
